It seems like this year is just zooming right by me and as the Chamber president, I’m proud to say I have achieved many of my goals and I’m still planning to accomplish more. With the help of our Board of Directors, we have increased our Chamber membership,  had great success with our community events and fundraisers and now have greater exposure on our website and through our editorials in the Voice of the Village, I believe we are making a difference and in a positive way. As we begin to set-up for the coming holidays, we are also involved in the election of our Board of Directors. This year on October 12th, starting at noon, we will have our elections at Tierra del sol Foundation and we invite all our Chamber members to attend and cast your vote for the dedicated and hardworking board members who strive to represent all the Chamber members in our Foothill community. Coming up on Tuesday, September 14th, the Chamber is hosting a luncheon at Tierra del sol Foundation with our guest speaker, Los Angeles City Controller, Wendy Greuel. Ms. Greuel will be speaking %203.bmp) on the City’s Financial Status. Seating is limited and your R.S.V.P. must be received by September 9th to reserve a seat. Lunch will be served at a cost of $13. Don’t miss our next Chamber mixer at Mission Valley Bank in Sun Valley, on Wednesday, September 15th. In addition to our usual fun, food and raffle prizes, this event will also celebrate the official installation of our Sunland-Tujunga Honorary Sheriff, Tawnya ‘Mrs. T’ Gartside, sponsored by the VFW #1614 and our Honorary Deputy Sheriff, Esko Vaananen, sponsored by the Sunland-Tujunga Elks Lodge #2098.
