Spring is in the air!

There are so many positive changes happening in our community and it’s wonderful to see. One example was our recent Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council elections with an unprecedented turn out — another, all the new businesses opening up in the Sunland-Tujunga area.

Help us celebrate all the new businesses opening up in the next couple of months by attending any of our Ribbon Cutting Celebrations. Join in to welcome the new Grocery Outlet, the Grand ReOpening of Berkshire Hathaway and Free My Spine Chiropractic. See the details under Upcoming Events on the Chamber website.

The Chamber is also planning and supporting fun community events. Look for our 5K Color Run on Sunday, May 21st. This is a family event beginning and completing at McGroarty Arts Center. Looking forward to our annual 4th of July Parade hosted by the Rotary Club and the Family Fireworks Festival at Verdugo Hills High School and the Watermelon Festival with the Lions Club in August.

The Spring Chamber mixers are on our calendar. Please come out to celebrate Ribbon Cuttings and Business Mixers with our dedicated business leaders at these events. They are fun evenings with food, drinks, amazing conversation, quality networking and great prices!

We are continuing to update our links to L.A. City Business start up support, information on Signage and the Foothill Blvd. Corridor Specific Plan and Design Guidelines to better serve our businesses.

Chamber Office Hours are Monday-Thursday 12 noon – 4 p.m. and Fridays 8 a.m.-12 noon. The new Chamber website continues to be a resource for business in the Sunland-Tujunga, Shadow Hills, Lake View Terrace region. Be sure to bookmark the Chamber’s Calendar of Events.

And, if your business is not a member — join the Chamber — we look forward to networking with you!
